P/21(S) -  Central Saint Martins / London

Studying at CSM I have realised that I would like to use my design and analytical abilities in making products that have a real and meaningful impact on people. All my design projects always revolve around user experience and emotions before, during and post usage of the product. Since childhood, I have had a keen interest in 3D modeling, getting my hands dirty with all sorts of possible materials and experimenting. Research, concept development, prototyping and visual communication are my strong suites in the designing process. Through my experiences, I have gained a variety of skills, from progressing as a designer to managing a heavy workload despite studying in a demanding university. Being the last president of the Dance Society at UAL, I have also improved my communicative, collaborative, and leadership skills. Hence, I am no stranger to responsibility.

I am currently studying Product and Industrial Design at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. I am Indian and English, and have and have had the privilege of growing up in both India and England at different times in my life, which has influenced me and my work tremendously. I am a creative thinker, dreamer, and emotionally intelligent designer who is resilient, proactive and able to manage complex situations with calmness and gratitude. When not designing, you will find me gardening and enjoying nature, painting, baking or learning to fly a Cessna :)

My passion is designing sustainable and meaningful product, spatial experiences with empathy for people who need a solution for their problems or needs. During my studies, I have understood the importance of interrogating and emphasising with the client before reaching the imaginative process, bearing in mind what is always a key to me — being creative, attentive to detail, and never stop experimenting! To every environment, I am always willing to bring commitment, a sense of responsibility, and my enthusiastic, collaborative spirit.
I am opened to all design and artistic practices that will help me develop my knowledge and career. I am looking for a placement based in London, but I am also very eager to work remotely if the placement is in another country/continent.

Being an active team member of a human rights organization, my work ethic and design approach prioritizes people and the environment.

My experiences in various hospitality areas taught me the importance of time

management and taking responsibility. Observing the diversity, the beauties and

the problems which coexist in everyday life and human interactions are the main

inspirations for my work. My enthusiasm for product design and what design can

achieve motivates me to always move forward.

Hello! I am a design activist and low-key science nerd, passionate about environmental sustainability and social justice. I enjoy service design and systems thinking, I believe that to tackle an issue we need to look at it holistically, before diving into a solution. I think one of the most wholesome and effective ways to create change is through trans-disciplinary collaboration and to involve the community as much as you can in the designing process.  #Design_from_the_heart.

I would like to describe myself as a design activist involved in social and ecological projects in London and in Portugal. I have a strong interest in helping others and my time as volunteer influences my outlook in the world and positively changes my design practice. I am a designer very passionate for people and the environment, sustainability is at the core of every project. For me design needs to creatively engage with real problems of real people.

I am currently enrolled on year two of BA (Hons) Product and Industrial Design at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. 

During my studies, I approach briefs systematically to produce outcomes that sit within a greater context. In addition to aesthetics and practicality, I believe that there is more to designing great products; with the bigger picture in mind while understanding real human needs, design allows us to tackle the existential issues of our time and create positive change.
